Dawn closes $3.35m Seed funding

Dawn Aerospace has closed a NZD $3.35 million seed round. Led by Tuhua Ventures, the round was heavily oversubscribed with additional participation from Erik Swan co-founder of Splunk, Innovation Quarter and Aera VC. With this funding, Dawn Aerospace will accelerate development of world-leading green satellite propulsion systems and of its Mk-II reusable sub-orbital vehicle.

“This investment allows Dawn Aerospace to take the next steps in the development of their spaceplane, which enables faster, more cost-effective and greener satellite launches,” said Francis Quint, Head of InnovationQuarter Capital. “We expect Dawn Aerospace to develop into a fast growing and important player within the West Holland aerospace cluster.”

Dawn is working to build the exponentially scalable propulsion architecture, building products to service the CubeSat, SmallSat and launcher markets.
